Martin Patrick Evan has been creating luxurious custom rugs and carpets for residential and commercial clients since 1998. In that time we have had the good fortune to outfit a number of high-end retail chains with carpets that enhance their brand, and the interiors their customers visit.
Our retail work began when our hand-tufted wool zebra rug was featured in Vogue’s Holiday Gift Guide in 2006.
Coach, at the time, had been using real zebra hide rugs in their stores which curled up around the edges over time causing tripping hazards, and were not PETA friendly. When they saw our rug on that list, they contracted us to make them for all of their stores globally.
Diane Von Furstenberg followed suite with a striking wood grain design that mirrored the fashion icon’s bold patterns. After a few visits to the 14th street New York City headquarters, we finetuned the design and began production. They adorned all of her boutique shops world-wide.
A couple of years ago when Amsale moved their upscale NYC bridal dress flagship store from Madison Avenue to Wooster St. in Soho, hiring the talented Reza Nouranian to design their gorgeous interiors. They turned to MPE for the luxurious carpets that now adorn their store providing an elegant residential feeling to the two floors of dressing rooms and public display areas.
We also updated the dressing rooms of Sézane, an upscale French clothing boutique in Santa Monica, with this gorgeous plush copper-colored cut pile.
Most recently, we have been working with Amiri, the Los Angeles fashion design house that combines a California cool with high fashion and unique artisanal craftsmanship. We have furnished carpeting for several of their new stores as they expand, and are working on new projects with them as we speak.
